Class of 2016!

So its official, my oldest daughter is now a JR High School Student.. Class of 2016. I shutter at the though of how old I will be when that happens.. Its a bitter sweet moment for me really. I love to see her get older but at the same time I want to keep her as the cute sweet and innocent thing she was before school. Its amazing to me how much a child changes over the course of a year. And I know I will be in for some big changes in the year to come as she transitions from a young girl to a pre-teen. My battles will have to be picked carefully as I do believe, as a former "rebel" teen that you should be allowed to show your personality to some extent. Besides the more you forbid them to do the more they want to do it right?? All the while I have to protect her from as much "evil" as I can.. The peer pressure, the drugs etc. Its going to be a challenge.. One I hope I can rise up to especially since her little sister is right behind her. So to my "D" Congrats on the first of many mile stones ahead. I am so very proud of how intelligent and bright you are and I know you will do great things.
